Chase looked behind him, he was right at the edge of the arena, his crossbow in hand and all of his bolts on his back. There was a thin strip of cleared land around the outside of the forested area, and the crowd in the arena was stupendously large.
Just to see a ruler fight, Chase was willing to bet. A massive drum beat hammered across the field, and the crowd drew silent. The battle had begun. Chase sighed as he moved silently into the forest, this arena was massive, it would take forever to find someone, but he moved slowly and alertly, and he believed that his camoflauged clothing was better than Ice's light clothing and Michelangelo's gear, so he crouched, and crept...

Ice was standing, back against the wall when the Drums boomed. The crowd of angels, Ice People and other random on lookers fell silent around the area. This will prove to be fun. Ice looked down at his clothing, the white wouldn't help him, but at least Michelangelo would be fairly obvious as well...Unless...Ice leaned down and began rubbing the dirt all over his clothing. It wasn't fool proof, but it was no longer shiny. His white hair and pale skin had been covered too. Ice smiled. Ice had a longbow, that was a clear advantage. A longbow would be far quicker to load and to shoot than a crossbow. Ice took solace in the fact both of his opponents would be attacking far slower than him. Ice began creeping forward, staying low and always under cover. He knew that there wasn't going to be anyone sighted right away, but this wasn't a sunday stroll. Ice had every sense on task as he crept further into the forest.

Chase had been walking for some time, and his nerves were on high alert at all times. the tension in the air was killing. He knew the arrows had been cupped so it would do now more than give him a massive bruise if he was hit, but he wasn't prepared to lose just yet.
Chase reached a small section of the bush where there was a long corridor of clear space. It wasn't intentional, just a long line of no trees, just grass and shrub. Chase looked around, if he could sight down this corridor it would give him a clear advantage, he was basically at the start of it. He looked around for a good place where he could hide, and then he saw he prefect place for him to hide... Perfect, he thought as he got himself ready and camoflauged himself...

Ice could feel the presence of Samara in the grounds, though he could not see her. She gave him a clear advantage over the other two. She could quite easily come up behind someone on completely silent paws and attack from there while Ice attacked from the front. Samara had been told not to fight too aggressively though, in all essence this was just a game. Ice wasn't thinking about it like that at that point though. This was as important as any real battle in Ice's head, because his pride and the pride of his people was at stake. Ice would not let that fail. Ice was careful to always remain within dense packs of trees and shrubs. He knew that was his most prized advantage.

Michelangelo was quite happy to have a challenge. But he knew that his opponets were much more skilled with long range than he. And Ice had that cursed Samara to hunt me down. Camoflauge! The idea struck like a bolt of lightning. He speedily made his camp of brush, bush, and tree. Now lets hope that that darn tiger wont smell me. He thought worried.

Chase was silent in his hiding place. he had a long stretch of view down the corridor from where he was, but he was just hoping that that leopard Ice had with wasn't going to smell him out or anything... then things could get hairy...

Quietly Michelangelo loaded the blunted bolts into his cross bow. If that leopard gets near me... he thought nervously. He tryed to listen for cracking of sticks and rustling of leaves for a sign of somebody. "God there are sticks everywhere this is so uncomfortable." He said with a grimace as he had just sat on a pile of pointy sticks.

Chase looked down the sight of his crossbow, he thought he had just seen something, way off down the corridor. He thought he had seen the briefest tinge of white moving between some trees, but he couldn't be sure...
"Never doubt yourself Chase." Chase looked at where he had seent he white, but also around it in case he was moving fast... and it could well have been that leopard of his...

Samara walked up to Ice, as silent as a shadow. Her padded paws muffling any sound that came from the ground beneath her. Ice crouched lower still. It seemed safer to have Samara with him as she had both a keener sense of smell and hearing to him, she could well be needed. The silence was deafening, even the crowd was not making a noise. The drums had long stopped.

Chase was sure he had seen someone there for a moment, and now that he focused there, he was almost certain that there was a small white dot between a tree that was moving a little. He quickly weighed up the odds, he had lots of bolts, but it take him at least 12 seconds to reload his crossbow and refit one of the long bolts, but then again, he was hidden superbly. Samara may be able to find him, but he doubted that Ice could locate him in 12 seconds without a clue of where Samara was headed... ansd they were a long way away. Besides, if there was a traget, Chase would hit it...
Chase lined his target, and held his breath... 1...2..., flick, and with a quick twang the bolt was away... Chase didn't even wait to see if it had hit, he knew it would, even if only a little, so he got to work immediately on reloading his crossbow... he'd be done in no time...

Ice was standing silently when he heard the crossbow. Chase's crossbow sure didn't sound inconspicuous. Ice sidestepped instincitevly, so did Samara. The arrow grazed her right hind leg. Luckily it was blunted, and left hardly any mark whatsoever. Ice could see where the shot had come from he could see Chase. Ice was able to draw his longbow and shoot before Chase had even been able to reload. Ice quickly ducked behind a tree, urging Samara behind a bush.

Chase rolled over slightly so he could reach his crossbow and reload it, which probably saved his life too as an arrow hissed past his left ear and clattered into the trunk of a tree just behind him.
Chase quickly reloaded his crossbow. Maybe Ice had a little too much faith in his own skill as no more arrows cam wizzing by. Chase fell back into position and aimed directly at Ice. He coulf only see Samara easily through a bush... not great cover there, he could easily fire through leaves, but he could also see the tip of Ice's shoulder sticking out from behind the tree. It seems they had a stalemate now... If Ice moved, Chase would shoot him, and he wouldn't miss at this range...
Chase knew Michelangelo was still out there somewhere, and maybe only his appearance here could end this stalemate...
ooc: How on earth could Ice have seen where Chase was. You weren't even looking at me when I fired, and crossbows don't leave any traces of where they've been like a gun... Also, I was too well hidden...

All the noise and commotion had lead michelangelo to peer throught the left of the brush. "Got cha!" he whispered excitedly as his steady hand loads a blunted but still speedy bolt into his cross bow. He lined up the metal sight to his mark, a white speck in a bush. He knew that it was something because someone had just shot a bolt to the bush. A slow out ward breath followed by the swift squeaze of the trigger left Michelangelo wondering if he got a hit.

ooc: I was hidden too, yet you still seemed to spot me. While we're on this topic, saying things like "he knew it would hit" and "there was no way he could miss" seem a bit stupid to say.
Ice would have remained still, it was Samara who made a loud chuffing noise of warning. Ice wasn't about to second guess her. He jumped onto the ground just in time for another bolt hit him from the different direction. Samara bounded off into the trees, Ice didn't know where she was going, but at least Ice knew he couldn't be seen at the moment, crawling on his belly underneath shrubbery and all manner of foliage.

Chase had his eyes trained on Ice, and was almost surprised to see him leap away from the tree and dive into the shurbbery... it was thick, and obscured him well... but leaves don't stop bolts... so he fired...
Chase quickly reloaded a bolt as he saw another person standing behind some trees on the other side of the corridor, Michelangelo...
