ooc: Reserved for Rhaxma, in case you didn't know why her name was in parentheses...
Octavius was well aware of the possible impending doom that may fall upon him if he were to be on The Isle of Emerald. However, Octavius cared not for the Basilisk that roamed there. It would be captured soon, anyway. However, Octavius still couldn't help but be curious as to how strong the thing may be. He wasn't necesarilly looking for it, but if the basilisk was found, Octavius could have some fun fighting. Thus, bringing him to the mines. Chances are, it wouldn't be there, anyway. Octavius swiftly entered the cave and took a quick scan of the place. Nothing but... green rocks. A little way in, Octavius sat down cross-legged on a boulder that he climbed about ten meters above the ground. "I wonder... how far these caverns may lead me..." His words were barely audible as he smirked elegantly to himself.

She had previously been in the Emerald City, in a disguise to hide herself from any possible suspicions of her being an Ice Warrior. While in the city, she had heard many rumors of a Basilisk roaming nearby. Not fazed by the thought at all, Rhaxma did think it to be a threat in any case. She knew that it was of no danger to the north, and thus, was not concerned about the creature. Besides, she hoped that the Basilisk would actually possibly kill any of the Pirates or Navy Soldiers that attempted to kill the beast themselves. She secretly hoped that a Southerner may want to help with the attack as well, but the likely hood of that happening didn't seem realistic, as the South were quite busy with their own things and the Pirates, she thought, would be too stubborn to call upon them for help, when they already have the Navy on their side to kill the large snake. But, Rhaxma wasn't sure just how stupid the Pirates or the Navy Soldiers could be. She continued her way through the city for just a little while longer, before exiting it and heading towards the Emerald Mine. She had never been in there, but recently, she's been desperate to make money as she was running low. She had heard that this mine held some very good, potential profits, which attracted Rhaxma to this place. Once entering the mine, she began to chisel her way through the hard walls. Moving along the wall, she ignored the spots that didn't show any potential, but stopped when something glistened through the stone. She hadn't found very many precious stones, but a few seemed efficient enough for now. She continued her way through before something else caught her attention; it wasn't shiny, and it wasn't pretty. In fact, it was a human. She looked at who it was and immediately recognized him as Octavius, the Fallen Angels leader. She narrowed her eyes slightly as she took a step backward, to get a better look at him. She wouldn't have noticed him if he didn't say anything, and if she wasn't listening so carefully to her surroundings. He was sitting on a boulder, looking peaceful, but Rhaxma could not ignore him. "And what would a man like you be doing in a place like this?"

Octavius was happily sitting on his large boulder. His large axe was resting against his shoulder, ready to be used at a moments notice. Octavius snapped open, for he previously closed them after speaking, as he heard a voice from below him. It was female, and a young one at that. His axe was now being firmly grasped in his hand. Octavius stared down at the girl. She was a Northerner, he could tell from the start. However, her eyes were intriguing. Instead of blue, they were brown. His eyebrow raised at he stared at her, taking her in. Realizing she wasn't much of a threat, he didn't attack her. He also never let his guard down, either. "A man like me, eh?" He gave a low chuckle and flashed a smile her way. "I would be sitting here. Or... are you to incompetent to comprehend that? I would think it was quite obvious." He looked at her more closely. "And you, I presume, is just looking for some quick money, am I correct?"

Rhaxma leaned against the wall opposite of the boulder, looking at him with an expressionless face, as she tried to keep on when speaking with people she wasn't comfortable with, and there was no doubt that she didn't exactly feel safe with the Emperor of the Fallen Angels himself. She noticed the Ax to his side, but took no thought to it as being a threat, as she didn't think he would actually attack her, due to the fact that she was doing nothing to bother him. She hadn't brought her mace, however, her claymore was by her side in case she needed to use it. He didn't seem to be much of a danger, so she ignored the thought. Twirling her small pouch holding the emeralds with her fingers, she replied with a raised eyebrow, "Quick money, you could say that." She wasn't sure she would call it quick money, as it seems to be taking some time to find these emeralds. She chose to ignore the first comments he made. She leaned away from the wall. "And an Emperor is here in the mine, looking for money as well. And sitting on the boulder." She looked at him with a bored expression. "Sitting on the boulder can't be much fun. And you aren't getting much done just by looking around up there."

Octavius couldn't help but roll his eyes. A childish thing to do, but a habit he was unable to stop. "For your information, boulders are quite comfortable. Then again, I guess the majority of the population wouldn't like to try and sit on something so hard, now would they?" Octavius took a pause, letting it all sink in. "Plus, I am thinking. Thinking would not cause boredom. It is fun, you should try it sometime. Well, you may be to young to know the glory of it all..." He sighed a little and uncrossed his legs. "I don't have to do much to get anything done. I have all the time in the world. How do you know that I am not doing anything productive? Up here, I am able to see more then you can. For instance, a little ways to the left, about a meter above the ground, there is a nice little patch or perfect emeralds. To the right there are only normal rocks. So you see, I am doing something. A good Emperor observes everything, takes every move into account, before taking action. By being up here, I know which directions are promising, and those that would be a waste of time."

Rhaxma raised an eyebrow, suddenly in interest, at his long response. She wasn't expecting a speech, but that was exactly what he had given her. She rolled her eyes, something she didn't do very often, and looked at the patch of emeralds he had pointed out. She moved towards them and grabbed a couple, putting them in her pouch. She nodded at Octavius, a motion of thanks, and walked closer to him once again. "Thanks for the speech, it was much appreciated." She started to mine once again, next to where he was sitting and ignored him for only a minute before looking at him once again, stopping everything she was doing and she said, "How long do you plan on sitting up there though?" She looked at the wall and leaned against it. "This part of the wall looks quite promising. Maybe you should come on down here." She may as well be nice to him for the time being, as she did take some of the emeralds he had told her about. Though that was his mistake, she wasn't the type of person who would be selfish enough to give nothing in return.

Octavius could tell that the girl was not expecting him to help er. However, he always did like being unpredictable. He nodded back to her, as a 'your welcome'. "You are very welcome. Don't expect to many of them, however. At the same time, expect them to be made at all times." Since Octavius was constantly feeling water from the stalctite from above, he moved to the left slightly and vigorously shook his head to dry his hair somewhat. Having failed, he decided to live with wet hair. He glanced at her as she spoke and smirked before looking forward again. The wall behind him tremebled sligtly from Octavius smashing it with his elbow as he then pulled up a good bit of emeralds. "I wasn't planning to sit for too long... so I guess now can be a good time to move." Octavius shoved the emerald into his pocket before standing up. Picking up his axe and placing it on his shoulder, Octavius jumped from the boulder onto the ground below him.

Rhaxma watched the man carefully. She may have already known that he did not want to fight her, but she couldn't help but naturally feel a bit cautious around the Fallen Angels leader. She then wondered if he and Ice had made an alliance yet, as she knew that they were going in that direction. But, before she could ask him, she heard something shuffling behind her. Turning to look at what it was, she noticed Soyala only a couple of feet away. However much Rhaxma may love Soyala, she did not want to see her chewing on a pile of gems. Rhaxma moved away from the man and picked Soyala up, who chewed on Rhaxma's hand. Lucky for Rhaxma, she was wearing gloves. She carried Soyala back to the man and was about to set her down, but she knew that the cub would go back to the gems and try making them her meal once again. She looked at the leader. "Have the Fallen Angels and the Ice Warriors make an alliance?"
