Evening Warmth

"It sounds like a plan to me." Ice said, smiling.

"We will take the fleet of the Ice Warriors, it is not as strong as the Navy, but they are preoccupied and we will not be disturbed on the journey down. We can ride on the White Warrior. Arna should not be hard to defeat with all of the leaders of the Pirates in Racana."

Rhaxma smiled, suddenly excited, but she controlled it. She stretched her legs again and picked Soyala up in her arms, standing up. "Perfect." She thought she might rest there for the night, and prepare for when they were going to leave. She looked at him. "Two questions. First, how much does it cost to stay here for one night? And second, when do you plan on leaving?"

"For you, Rhaxma, I'll let you stay the night for free."

Ice smiled, his mind was on the battle ahead. "I'll give you a room befit of a Royal Guard, if there's something good about this continent it's too cold for fleas." Ice laughed.

"I'll be ready to leave as soon as the Ice Fleet is ready, we will take the White Warrior and lay siege."

Ice stood up and strecthed his back. It cracked quietly. Samara breathed out loudly, almost sighing. It was getting late. Ice picked up his skates again and began walking out to the back of the inn. "I'm going to go and skate. I have plans to make and this is how I think." Ice paused and smiled. "Oh, and Rhaxma, the Royal Guard's room...it's right next to mine."

Ice laughed to himself, hoping Rhaxma had caught the joke. Ice shook his head and began walking to the frozen creek. Samara saw fit to remain inside and rest her head on her paws.

Rhaxma smiled, and bowed her head. "Thank you, Ice." She grinned and held back from laughing. She nodded her head and began to walk away before turning around, realizing she didn't know where she was going. Oh, and Rhaxma, the Royal Guard's room...it's right next to mine. She couldn't help but let out a small laugh. Quickly turning away, she covered her mouth and closed her eyes, slightly annoyed that she had laughed out loud. She took a deep breath and walked away, still smiling. Soyala fell asleep. You better rest well, tonight, Rhaxma... for battle is growing close. She could already feel the adrenaline. She walked into her room and laid in the bed, instantly falling asleep.

Ice smiled to himself as he walked down to the creek. Rhaxma had such a funny way of laughing. He put his skates on with his mind elsewhere and as he skated around and around in circles he found it hard to keep his thoughts on the battle coming ahead. Rather they were wandering, and they continued wandering until the dark blue blanket of night had covered the land and the moon was shining down upon the land, illuminating it just enough for the snow around Ice to glow with an almost other-worldly light. The Aurora was out tonight, it was dancing through the sky in blue and yellow and red. Ice stopped and looked at it for a long time, but his thoughts still drifted.

Finally, Ice took off his skates and walked back up to his inn.

On the way to his room, he stopped by Rhaxma's room. He could hear her quiet breathing inside. Ice closed his eyes and smiled. He slowly opened them again and walked into his room and fell upon his bed.
