Nicholas walked out onto the field, a double-edged sword in his right hand, numerous dadgers littered underneath his light clothing. He didn't like a lot of armor, though he did have a chest plate on, and a helmet that had one of those nose things that slid down it so no one could hit your nose, and jam it up into your brain so you die. He waited for his opponent, and he would never be one of those self-concious freaks that thought because she was a woman, he would be able to beat her easily, he would treat her in a fight just like he taught a man, give all and don't back off. His motto, go big or go home.

Nau'ren's tall figure jogged out into the field. Always being a show off, she waved her arms in the cool air. She only had with her a sword. Her bright uniform colors shone in the glittering sun. Clouds spotted the sky, giving them a little shade. She stared at her opponent with excited eyes. Her jog slowed down to large strides. She loved fighting and it was always in her blood to use her skills and get better. The dead grass rippled through out the field, giving it almost an ocean look. She came up to her opponent and nodded.

"Remember, give no inch." He told her, not knowing why he did. He was a little weird like that, telling his opponents ways to stay in the game. "Let's start." He said and with that he arced up his right arm and swung down to meet her around her shoulder area. He wasn't afraid to attack, she would defend herself, of that he was sure. And if she didn't, he never inflicted mortal wounds unless in battle or a fight to the death.

Nau'ren was expecting the first attack to be around there and leaned to the opposite side, swinging her own sword to clang against his. Metal on metal echoed through out the field. She replied in her loud voice, "Right." And she copied his move to see what he would do.

He moved quickly to hit swords with her, locking hilts. He threw his weight into it, pushing against her. He moved his double edged sword down to strike at the thigh bone. So far so good, he thought to himself, he was testing her, seeing just how good she was before he actually started his direct attacks to win.

As his sword left hers, she directed it forward, still going towards his shoulder. She didn't have anough tim to move out of the way with this move, and let him graze the side of her leg. That was not one of her tender spots, so she nearly winced.

He felt the blade tip into his shoulder as his bit into her thigh. "Did we forget to blunt these?" He joked laughingly, as he swung around, backing up a bit to slice towards her breast bone.

Nau'ren smiled. The attack was high enough for her to duck. For she was fairly tall. Her own sword was raised above her head to defend it. She bit her lip as she jumped up, her sword smashing against his manuevering one. She backed away to get some more room between him and her.

He jumped up and flipped, to land behind her, slashing at her ankles , though he knew she would most likely jump maneuver out of the way. He contemplated getting up and pulling out one of his daggers on her, but that would be a sneaky, slimy way to win.

She shot around, swinging her sword with her. The powerful force of the sword took her arm with it. She leaned in, jumping at the same time as she saw his sword near her feet. A smile was set back on her face as she swung at his hip.

He arced his hip to the side, dodging her blow. "Fun, fun, fun..." He laughed, and almost laughed at himself. He had a thing for joking when in a mock battle. He swung again, directly for the area beneath her chin, but above her breast bone.

Nau'ren replied to his swinging sword with her own. Why was he lauging now? She thought. When she swung, her sword shot off aim and pelted towards his sword hand. Her hilt clinked his sword, bumping it against her jaw. Her bitten tongue bled inside her mouth. But she just swallowed, not having time to spit.

He jumped back and swept low, but not to low, towards the inside of her knees, so that she couldn't jump it, and absolutely could not duck under it. Or it would be incredibly scary if she could duck it without falling to the floor.

Nau'ren grippes her sword with two hans and brought it down to her legs. Moving was not needed for this attack. The two swords glinted in the sun and that was enough to make her blink and turn away. His sword slipped on hers and slammed into her knee cap. Blood ran down her leg. It had hit the bone. She toppled away from him, blood still came out of her mouth from her tongue.
She fell on her back. She had had worse blows before, and could bare this one. She grabbed her knee with the palm of her hand to assuage the pain. She looked up to her opponent and lunged forward, sitting up. The force brought her to her feet. The tip of her weapon was tilted to the side, so it wouldn't cut him, but it would cause a bruise. It headed straight for his side. She didn't want to seriously injure him, but she was angered by her knees.

He was stunned, shocked, and worried. He parried the blow, "You ok?" He asked, from between the two swords, because in parrying, he'd locked swords with her at the hilt. "Cause I know how to help..." He offered seriously, while moving a sly foot to hook under her undamaged leg and possibly bring her down, though his own sweat was pouring dangerously into his eyes, making it a little hard to see.
