Marquering kept to the shadows as she walked along the streets of Youla; she hated being sent into the city. Preferring to be solo, the city (and its bustling streets) were the last place she wanted to be sent. However, there was a message here for her commander and she was sent to pick it up. Why do I have to be the one that is always sent on these "missions". Marquering turned the corner near the Capital Building completely lost in her own thoughts. Youla is a beautiful city, its no wonder most of the soldiers take their leave here. Too bad there are so many people. Marquering picked up her pace as the first snowflakes began to fall. I wonder if its starting to snow in the forest, I love the fresh snow. Makes it so much easier to keep unseen. Rounding the last corner on her journey to pick up the message, Marquering overheard a snipet of conversation between two officers of the Fallen Angels.
"Well, I don't see how this is going to work...there has never been an alliance before."
"Don't worry, Cailen knows what shes doing. If the Ice Warriors want an alliance then I guess its for good reason."
Marquering sighed, if only they had any clue what they were talking about. Marquering understood why Cailen accepted this alliance, however she did not understand how Cailen could accept the Ice Warriors. Just the other day they had desecrated something holy, Marquering's distrust was increased a thousand times. Ignorance was not something Marquering dealt well with. But whatever, and whoever, Cailen trusted...Marquering would do her best to do the same.
Entering the building on her right, she approached the desk with a look of contempt. She knew the offices her made it next to impossible to get anything quick and dreaded the paperwork that would surround the message she was to pick up.
