Agent
Charming when they are seen, and invisible when they want to be. Agents tend to be excellent with their people skills and extremely stealthy, they can be seen using a variety of weapons, but smaller weapons easily concealed would be more their type. They are usually set in their allegiances and tend to make great spies for information.
Archer
Archers are, as their name would hint, excellent in the ways of archery. They can use a variety of long range weapons including longbows, shortbows, recurved bows, composite bows and crossbows. Archer make amazing fighters when in a group, but on their own in close combat they leave much to be desired.
Assassin
Assassin's can have fleeting allegiance or they can be set. They tend to be cold, detached people with dismal friendship or people skills. They don't hesitate to kill, however, and can often be found doing the firty work of dispatching high ranking officials of another allegiance in secret, leaving as quickly as their came.
Bard
Bards are travelling people, sometimes employed by a single army. Their greatest feat is their ability to sing and dance and tell stories. Sometimes these stories can soothe enemies, or such is the odd power of their voices that they could hinder the enemy, confusing them with sounds that seem to be coming from everywhere. In combat Bards may be next to useless, but their voices are a brilliant tactic to have behind the front lines.
Healer
Seeming mysterious to other people, Healers harness strange herbs and powers to naturally heal people. They can be drifters, often working to stop war, or be employed by one side and work as a medic. Armies cannot be complete without somebody who has the knowledge of this ancient art of medicine.
Illusionist
Illusionists are even more mysterious than Healers to those who do not understand what it is they do. Illusionist uses tricks of hand and sight to make themselves seem magical, such as lighting a match in their hand with the help of some naturally inflammable substance to look like they can control fire. Often people believe them, as they don't know them. They are often used by Rulers to instill order, though the Ruler could well know that the Illusionist is nothing more than a show. To really succeed, an Illusionist should also be trained in combat. They make great companions to travelling as Bards as the Bard can tell stories and the Illusionist can bring it to life.
Pilgrim
Pilgrims are people that devote their lives to travelling around the world. They seek to know everything there is to be known and the mysteries of the world both excite and interest them. They are well learned in the arts of history and geography. They are also usually slightly trained in combat, but just enough to protect themselves on the road.
Ranger:
Rangers are well trained in most forms of weaponry. They are the most well rounded of the classes. They can use both bows and close combat weapons, but their stealth leaves something missing. They tend to make good leaders, due to their ability to interact with most combatants, however, as their name would imply, they often have a fleetful nature, and tend to prefer travel.
Thief:
Thieves are often a ruleless type of people. More often than not they sprout from poorer backgrounds, forcing them into this line of 'work'. They are stealthy, like Assassins and tend to fight in the same way. However, the major difference between Assassins and Theives is that, where Assassins do not shy away from a kill, Thieves are simply thieves, and killing seems horrible, even to them. They usually have smaller weapons that are easy to transport and light to make their work all the quicker.
Warrior:
Warriors are, as their name would suggest, the building blocks of any true army. They are the greatest class in close combat. They are skilled in swords, maces, knives, clubs and all other sorts of remorseless pieces of metal used for the sole purpose of defeating enemies in close combat. Often preferring heavy armour to stealth, they are more of a walk-into-the-room-and-kill-everyone type person than a stealthy-hide-on-the-roof-i'm-watching-you type person. They also have problems with long range battles, but they are that good in close combat it doesn't matter. They don't need training in anything else.
