The chill of winter blew over the water. Grey, snow clouds hovered ominously above the battle scene. As the Stone's true power coursed through the veins of the Northerners, it slowly streamed through the land of Lilan. The Ice Warriors and Fallen Angels alike would soon be almost invincible.
Sage couldn't help but feel a burst of pride as Ice began to speak. He stood next to Calien, tall and proud, and prepared to witness the full onslaught of power that Ice now possessed. Sage’s first thought was the reach for his bow, but Ice would not need the help of the Archer this day, nor would he want it.
The Pirate is a fool, and so are any others who dare oppose the Northerners now… Sage thought silently to himself, taking notice of the fallen Southern King and the Drifter that he had previously seen upon the Isle, along with the other Southerners and Pirates that stood among the Northerners.

Alaria saw Ice look down at her and Cailen. She dipped her head a little bit and then grinned at her friend and ally. Laughing, she lifted Shakr'am into the air. His diamonds grew in size, turning that wonderful violet. The diamonds on his outer edge seemed to be alive now that a cousin of theirs was near. They almost seemed to laugh at the world around them. Launching it into the air, she gripped her sword and ran at the enemy.
All the people here that aren't Fallen Angels or Ice Warriors are deserters, traitors, enemies. Her mouth opened to let out a loud war cry as she leapt into the air and brought her sword down upon the head of an unsuspecting Pirate. Grinning as he fell, she wrenched her sword from his corpse, and kept going. All that stood before her fell. Wounds appeared as small scratches on her body, but they healed instantly. The wound that Dagwyn had given her had turned into naught but a bloody mark. It had scabbed over to a dark redish brown. As she fought, the sweat that protruded on her face, made it open up a little, and the drips of blood fell on her dead opponents.
A whistle went through the air, and she turned in time to catch a spear in her belly. Grunting, she held onto the shaft, slowly pulling it free. Funny what happened. The spear went all the way through her body, and out her back. But when she pulled it free, the skin merely healed itself. It was stitched back. Hurlting the spear back at its owner, she turned to face the rest of the army.
All who went against High Lord Ice shall perish by my blade! Alaria yelled, her eyes showing how serious she was.

Khalora was still stunned, but his strength was returning ten fold, and faster than he would have thought possible. He could hear people talking below, but he never heard their voices before… they didn’t even sound human.
Alessio rubbed the tears out of his eyes and his surroundings came back into focus, his hearing sharpening, his senses returning to him. The air was suddenly colder now, and there was a blue tinge to everything. What the hell is going on here?
He hardly had a moment to think though as he heard someone running at him. He turned his head, and looked up at his attacker. A Northern beserker with a slender two-handed great sword… and it was, glowing? Alessio reached for his broadsword, but his fingers wrapped only around air. Fear suddenly took a hold of him as he realized that there was no chance he could have held onto his sword through that explosion.
The soldier lunged at him, and Khalora rolled back under the blade, falling to the floor, the violet blade slicing through the air inches above his chest. He kneed the soldier’s hand, but he had to reach up and break his wrist for him to drop the blade. His bones felt somewhat stronger than normal, almost like they were hardening, tempering.
Nonetheless he grabbed his neck in his large arms, wrapped himself behind the soldier’s body, and snapped his neck with more effort than should have been needed. Khalora reached over his limp body and picked up the glowing sword. The hilt was freezing in his hands, but he was able to bear it.
He saw Ice, Geddo, Nina and so many other faces he didn’t know on the mid deck below him. Everything was so confusing, What on earth is going on here?

Cailen lept into the melee of the refreshed battle, hating with every inch of her soul the pirates and southerners. They broke the alliance, and now they would pay, they would pay with the wrath of a full-brunted blizzard.
She landed near the railing of the White Warrior, slamming into a pirate. The man was startled, but did not let that daughnt him. He spun around with momentum behind his cutlass, but he misjudged Cailen's height. He was aiming to decapitate a full grown man, not the short Empress of the Fallen Angels. The sword barly sliced onr hair from her head. She grinned at the man's shock, and stabbed him through the heart, pushing him into the frigid water below. She looked over to the ruins of the Southern Flame, and a gleam of gold caught her eye. So the Southern King was still alive? Cailen leapt onto the rail, pulling Ice's bow off her back, and nocked an white arrow. The King had just snapped the neck of an Ice Warrior, and while he was distracted with the corpse, Cailen let the arrow fly, aiming straight for the gap in the destroyed chest armor.

Alessio turned on the deck and spied Ice easily. Amidst all the violet, there was only one obvious source, and with a sudden realization like being smashed in the face with a shield, Khalora realized he had the amethyst. ”Ice! What have you done!?”
But he had no time to wait and see if he had heard, when he spied a fallen angel he had never seen before aiming a bow at him. Oh damn… He tried to turn away from her, but at that distance it took an arrow about a tenth of a second to cover the distance, and it took him longer to move. The blue tipped arrow passed through his armour like a knife through warm butter, slicing his skin open at the back where it crossed.
It was a shallow cut, but it was long, and the King could already feel the blood seeping out of his skin. ”Traitor!” Why were they attacking us? Had Ice decided to turn against them because of the stone? He eyed the Ice Ruler for the briefest portion of a second, wondering if the boy he had thought full of honour was simply drunk on teenage ambition.
He ran up to the edge of the aft deck and leapt full into the air, closing the distance between him and the fallen angel as fast as he could, before she had a chance to draw another arrow. The wound in his back was throbbing, but it was nothing compared to what he had just endured.
He landed heavily on the deck and advanced on the woman quickly. He had to fend off two particularly skilled fallen angels to get to her nonetheless, who threw themselves at him in her defence. He cut the throat out of the first one and had to elbow the other in face, breaking his skull and knocking him over edge, before getting into a swords-reach of her…

Ice held the stone and his scythe, with Samara beside him, surronded by his violet light, growling maliciously from deep within the back of her throat. Her often lazy, detached expression had been replaced by a face of sharp teeth, and pale blue eyes that furrowed into a hateful look that could chill even the warmest of souls.
"Then you have betrayed the Southerners, by breaking their allegiance with us." Ice hissed, his eyes wide violet lights of unrestrained fury. The arrows, like all the others that had been fired at the stone-wielding Ice missed him, as if caught in a wind that blew them in every direction except the High Lord. Ice was somewhat aware of the Southerner King awakening, the alliance was broken, the King would soon feel the wrath of the North. Not even Khalora was safe from him now. No Southern race was.
Ice swung his scythe around him, before swining it at the Pirate King in a long arc that reached far further than a sword could have. Samara was walking, crouched down away from him, to catch Geddo from another angle. She now shone with her own violet light. The High Lord and the Snow Leopard were finally one with the full power of the amethyst. It was time to end it all.

Poker, clothes damp and with cold running deep into his bones, emerged from the water to climb aboard the White Warrior. Any hope he had of drying, and finding warm winds of the Isla de Meuna were lost as he came to discover that the world was far colder here than even in the water. But this was a dry cold. The cold of the north.
It would have been a lie to say that Poker understood everything that was occuring. Pirates, Fallen Angels, Ice Warriors, Naval Soldiers and Southerners were all fighting on board the deck of the Nothern Flagship. The High Lord of the Ice Warriors was not hard to distinguish, as attention was drawn to him, no doubt because of the odd way he glowed. Poker saw the stone in his hand. Was that the amethyst that the world had been searching for? Poker wasn't sure, but it seemed a fair assumption to make.
Poker shut his eyes momentarily as a pirate fell dead before him, struck down by an arrow fletched in the grey colours of the Fallen Angels. Who could have brought this war upon them? The death and decay and destruction? Who had led the Pirates to the Isla de Meuna. Poker's eyes drifted across the ship, and they fell upon the Southerner King. It was him. It was his fault!
Poker cried out, but his voice was lost in the mayhem around him, and all he could do was run towards the King that had perhaps doomed the entire Pirate race. The King was still far away, closer to the helm of the ship, where the High Lord of the Ice Warriors and the Pirate King were. There were a lot of warriors between Poker and the man that he so despised. The journey would be a long one.

Reacting quickly to defend his Empress, Sage jumped between the advancing Southern King and Cailen. He raised his glowing bow above his head and met Alessio's sword in mid-air with a loud metel-on-metal clang that was drowned out by the sounds of the battle. Novus Spes had become stronger, barley even jarring from the impact of the King's sword. Sage himself could feel the power... so much power.
"Traitor is such a strong word. The fact is, the time has come for the Northerners to take their rightful place above the land of Lilan. Shall you continue to fight, you will die, Alessio Khalora," Sage said sardonically.
He looked down upon the Angels Alessio not a minute ago took down. "Of course," Sage continued, "you've slaughtered two of my comrades. You will die anyway."

Geddo moved gracefully as he dodged the scyth and various other projectiles coming at him. Cut Was all he thought about, to cut his enemies, if he didn't focus on one enemy, but instead focus on all of his enemies, he would be able to dodge almost anything that came at him. He dodged the violet glowing animal that charged at him. Though when it came for a counter, he had to block his teeth with his sword. The sword cracked in the beasts teeth, then shatered in folly of steel. "Shoot." He said as he saw the sparkles of broken steel through the air. He went to kick the beast. (Sorry about the saying that the tiger attacked me. Samara is a leapord right? lol Though, I didn't give it any wounds so....)

Cailen grinned as Sage lept to her defence. No body could overcome two angels propelled by the thought of a world of snow. And besides, the king was maimed pretty badly, and both Cailen and Sage were realitivly unscathed.
"Not to mention the fact that it is you who are the traitors. Your pirate comrads broke the alliance before we did, attacking Ice as well as my angels. If anything, I should call you a traitor, King Alessio Khalora. And we do not abide traitors." She glanced at Sage, hoping that his timing would be as good as before. The swords were still locked above her, and she trust out with her blade while Khalora's hands were occupied, aiming right below the arrow wound.

Alessio twisted his sword to get a good sitting between the blades, but the Fallen Angel beneath him talking grabbed part of his attention. ”Geddo?” He looked out across the ship engulfed in combat and saw the Pirate King fighting Ice, for all the wrong reasons. ”Oh Geddo what have you done?”
And then the sword was racing at him. He brought down his own and both the violet blades smashed at each other, but then he was leaving himself exposed from the angel guard. Their blades danced through the air, but Khalora was always forced to abandon an attack to parry off one from his enemies. He was holding is own, but there was no way he could overcome these two in his current state. And they were so fast.
He jumped back to give himself some distance and searched the decking frantically for a sword, any second weapon would do…
…A shield!…
…It was better than nothing, and he dropped down to scoop it up into his left arm. It was freezing to the touch, just like the sword, but it was that or his life. Again he attacked the two, using his new shield to gain some defence from the two swords. Even so, the battle was dangerously long.
Alessio struck out, parried off Cailen’s sword, blocked Kevin’s, turned and swung at Sage, received a block, low swung at his legs, turned back trying to bash him with his shield and sliced out at Cailen with the backslash. For all the attacks they traded, they weren’t getting anywhere. None of them were landing any damaging blows on their enemy.
”I did not… will this… upon the Southerners… Cailen!!” Alessio had a niggling thought that trying to negotiate with the woman he was fighting was futile, but he had to try. Alessio hoped to god that the fallen angels had not fallen beyond honour. He continued on, talking between thrusts and parrys, “I did not… betray… you! Why are you… continuing… with this!? Kevin’s sword sliced down his left cheek, under his eye, and the King responded by kneeling and smashing his blade onto the angel’s leg greaves. ”Cailen! … Whats… the point!?

Cailen was breathing heavily now with exertion, but the wild bloodlust inside her was burning her soul, and that kept her fighting. Alessio was good, and he was holding his own, despite the fact that there was only one of him, and there were two angels. This man was truly fighting for his life.
"Khalora, you... may not have... wanted this, but... it is what you got. When the pirates attacked... the alliance was broken... it was already strained as it was... my angels and Ice's warriors were not... happy to fight alongside enemies." She paused a second to blosk Khalora's blade, sliding her own as far up the hilt as she could. The basket hande of her blade caught his own, but Alessio slipped it out swiftly. She swore under her breath at the failed attempt, and stabbed out with her clawed fist, protecting her onslaught with her blade.
"If you are so eager... to stop this fight... admit defeat... we might spare... you and your men."

Alaria raised her sword to deflect a blow by a Pirate. Snarling, she wirled on him and sliced his gut, going through heavy armor and mail. Straightening, she held her sword at arm's length towards Geddo. The blood on it dripped off, the drops falling on bodies on the ground.
Shakr'am returned to her, and she grabbed his edge, holding it in front of her face like a sheild. Arrows leapt at her from all areas, and they were deflected. Charging Geddo, she meant to get back at him for the poisoned arrows.
The temperature was still drastically falling, and then the water froze, slowly iceing over. Because the water was freezing, a noise filled the area, one that sounded like glass when it was freezing. Then snow began to fall. It began to blanket them in its beauty. Grinning, she was only more charged by this new site.
For Ice! she yelled as she passed Cailen and Kevin, both of whom were easily over coming Alessio. Alaria felt her blood boiling and her energy was rising, giving her more speed. When she hit the ice, she was able to keep running, the picks on the bottom of her boots keeping her safely on the ground. The wind was beginning to pick up, and a blizzard was forming. Stopping at a corpse, she pulled his cloak off him and wrapped it around herself. The black cloak was ripped at the bottom and blood stained.
Her sword swung out at Geddo, aiming for his arm wielding the sword.

Nina Foster was literally freezing upon the white ship. The temperature around her dropped so suddenly, that the water upon her body had turned to ice. Has she still been in the sea, she would indeed have been frozen.
The battle was raging around her. In her heart, she knew that it would soon end, and not on a positive note. The Northerners needed only to break down the remaining resistance, and then they would be free to reign. But also upon Nina's heart was the stubborn pride that wouldn't let her world fall apart around as she stood around and watched it tumble. The battle seemed hopeless, and probably was, but she was going to fight so long as her blood ran through her veins.
To her left, Geddo was fighting the Ice Warriors, and to her right, Alessio was fighting the two strongest of the Angels.
Alessio, to long have we been at odds with each other... you spared my life one time, in some way, I must repay the debt... Nina's thoughts were racing. Her morals and pride in conflict; her heart and her logic far from similar. She wasn't even thinking straight when she began to move toward the battle between Alessio and the Angles.
His situation was getting worse. He was bad shape as it was, and the Angles were only getting stronger. The battle was beginning to swing in the Angel's favor. With the male Angle at a stand-off with Alessio, the female Angle had the opportunity to strike. Nina was soon intertwined in the battle as she unsheathed her sword to meet Cailen's claws.
Nina glanced slightly at Alessio before turning her angry eyes upon the Angle before her. Two on one just doesn't seem fair...

[[For the record, Kevin doesn't have a sword. he has a bow and arrow - and a spear, but it was broken upon the Isle. But anyway, it's all good]]
For a man in such bad shape, he's not doing a bad job evading each attack... Sage thought slightly frustrated. Alessio had parried off Cailen's sword, and blocked speeding arrows with such stamina, Sage knew Alessio was fighting on pure will.
...but his will shall only last for a short time longer. His speed is slowing, as well as his attacks and defense... Not much longer now... Sage thought silently.
Calien's assault upon Alessio with her claws was stopped suddenly by the appearance of the female Drifter. Such a nuisance... Sage thought as he turned to fire upon her. His motion was cut short with another attack from Alessio. Sage managed to see the sword with enough time to block it with his bow once again.
Cailen should be alright, after all, she's fighting a mere drifter...
Sage focused his attention upon Alessio, and using brute strength, her shoved the Southern King backward far enough to aim his bow and shoot an arrow duo upon the King. His armor was weakening, and Sage would be very surprised to see the King evade both arrows in his current state.
