Ullissyr walked into the heavily embellished room. The air was rich with power, and it almost took a hold of her, but she re-gained herself. The walls were ordained with blue tapestries, maps and pictures of warships and supreme lords of the past.
However, the current Supreme Lord was the one who Ullissyr was most interested in.
She stood rigidly in front of Welloway's desk, excited to be here. "You summoned me mi'lord?" She had heard rumours that Welloway was looking for a new Fleet Admiral, and she was genuienly thrilled at being summoned into his office, becuase it didn't happen often, and it usually meant something big...

Alexander gazed out over the bay, watching the whitecaps splash onto the vividly hued canvas that was the horizon. He watched a seagull dodge the whispy clouds and the graceful movement of a galleon in the distance, sails held high, its proud, painted symbol riding the wind. He smiled to himself and saluted the ship from his window high within the fort. The shadows of sunset were beginning to cover the water, and the ship, now a silhouette, was the perfect figure for the beautiful backdrop of an evening sky. His attention was broken by the sharp twinge of a familiar voice, bringing an abrupt stop to the sounds of peaceful waves crashing within his head. He turned, still smiling, and recalled that this was not such an unexpected visit.
"Ah, right... right... It's good to see you again, Captain Lorian. It's not often I'm able to speak directly with my good comrades. All you diligent sea dogs are always out ridin' those waves!"
He didn't wait for her to respond, clearing his throat and indicating that he didn't wish to pretend like he had called her up to his office for a cup of tea.
"Well, Captain, it is surely not unknown to you that without me here, all hell breaks loose. Now, I don't mean to sound so dependent on myself, because believe me, I'm damn proud of this Navy and it's great leaders and hearts like you that make it the way it is. Now, regardless of how well we do our business here, I just can't give up the reins. I worry too much about those damn pirates and their filthy little hands gettin' a hold of this beautiful gem we have here. I've sailed these seas more than my share of times, and I think it's about time someone else had their chance. The sea needs a break from me."
He chuckled and then switched to a more sincere tone, leaning forward with his hands on his desk and looking into her eyes.
"I'm givin' you your chance to show the world the Pride of Lilan. It's about time I set you free to do what you were meant to do. I hope you weren't lyin' when you said you loved the sea, because you're about to be seein' a hell of a lot of it. Now, come to the window and take a good look at your new fleet, Admiral."

Ullissyr listened intently to his words. Alexander's voice had a way of enticing you, of hypnotizing you, and he spoke with an authority that she had only ever dreamed about. It was true that he was a great leader of the oceans, and she doubted if he had ever lost a battle on the sea. And then he said his last comment.
Ullissyr had to stop her chin from hitting the floor, and struggled to keep herself upright and still remain rigid. She had only lightly expected that, sure, she had heard rumours, but this was beyond her wildest dreams.
She walked up beside Alexander and looked out of the beautiful window. The bay below was picture perfect, the sun sparkled of the ocean like a jewel, and there were many ships below his office, docked and ready. They sat tall and proud, the envy of every other army in this entier world. "I... I'm... Thank you mi'lord." Ullissyr was almost lost for words, but she had to say something.
"Thank you. This oppurtunity you've given me is..." She looked again at the ships below her. "...sublime." Fleet Admiral Lorian, it had a ring to it.
"What will you do now?" She asked him, less formally. Of course, he still had the grandest warship in the fleet as his own flagship, but she wondered what battles remained for this experienced lord...

He was visibly elated while watching her expression, knowing that he had made an excellent decision. However surprised and humble she was now, he knew she would make him proud when she set sail. He now pondered her question, wondering what course he should take. He had been content with enjoying his utopian island and magnificent view, and only imaginitavely plotting out the future of the Lilan Navy. Now that someone was awaiting a response, the answer came to him and out of his mouth with disappointing reality.
"Well, I'm gonna hold up the homefront for the time being. I've still got my guards, a few galleons and these fine walls here to defend against those pirates. We'll take a little trip over there ourselves and kick those mongrels in the ass in due time, but for now we still have some building to do. I can't go sending everyone off to capture some other island and leave this one sittin' here like a big welcome sign. I've got some fine officers like you, but I need a lot more before I can make too many moves. For now, we wait...."

Ullissyr nodded, "Yes mi'lord." It made sense to her. She had a few things that she wouldn't mind doing now that she was a Fleet Admiral. She had heard reports of some of creature being set free in the Diamond City. Maybe she'd check that out, but it could wait.
The ships needed to be prepared for war, and then she could lead the Lilan Fleet against the Pirates. They would crumble before her might. She smiled at her new power, but promised herself not to push it to the point where she lost it all.
"I will not let you down Welloway. I promise that I will lead this country to victory." She looked back out of the window, surverying her fleet. The ships were in good repair, but she'd have to kick up the training that was being done to the new soldiers, they would have to be ready soon. "Isla de Meuna will never fall, niether will this fort, not while men like yourself stay to defend it..."
