Corrin stepped out of the dense trees and onto the soft lake sand. He looked to the horizon and saw the setting sun, it bursts of crimson and pink filling the rapidly cooling night air. The first star had begun to show its gauzy face to the silver moon, and Corrin smiled slightly. Dusk was his favorite time of the day. It was the most beautiful, and it marked the end of a successful day, or the beginning of a deep sleep to throw off the day's worries.
Corrin stood above the shoreline, far enough up to start a small fire. He had gathered some small branches from the forest he had come from, and he never went anywhere without some dry kindling stored in his pouch. In minutes, he had a small fire going, just big enough to give off warmth and cook his dinner on. While his dinner cooked, he stretched out in the sand, thankful that there were no rocks to poke his back.

Amory didn't much enjoy visiting this lake, especially after he meeting long ago with the Southern King, but something forced her to visit this place, if not just one last time. Her eyes grazed across the beautiful crystal waters and the soft, pale sand, before she noticed someone else there, lying on the ground. Curious as to who he was, she walked closer as to get a better look, and maybe put a name to a face. She stood behind a tree and looked at him, still unable to recognize who he was. He had to have been a Southerner, otherwise she would have at least seen him once before. She smiled and casually walked towards him. Sitting next to him, she looked at the sky and said, "It really is beautiful this time of day, isn't it?"

Corrin jumped slightly at the sound of aproaching feet, but relaxed a little at the newcomer's friendly tone. "Yes, gorgeous. It's my favorite time." He stood up and dusted the sand off his breeches. "I'm Corrin, by the way." He shrugged his shoulders slightly, and gestured to his dinner on the fire, "Are you hungry?"
He was unacustom to company; he had been on his own for far to long. However, his last hunt had been succesful and he knew he had plenty of food to go around, and it would be nice to hear the news of what was going on in the South.
