Ice walked solemnly through the crowd, he had his bow in his hand and Samara walking beside him. He eyes were half closed, as they so often were, but beneath her lazy-appearing exterior, she was surveying the scene silently, sizing up every soul there.
Ice looked around the room until he found the man he was looking for.
"Marcus Windkeeper!" Ice called, not unkindly. "Your marksmenship is renowned throughout the Fallen Angels. Mine is likewise renowned throughout the Ice Warriors. I thus propose this, a battle of the Marksmen of the North. We will combine our terrain. A forest of snow, alike to the Ice Forest, but," Ice paused, "it will be mountainous, like the terrain I grew up in." Ice thought it fair enough. He pulled himself to his full height and looked at the Fallen Angel.
"What do you say?"

Marcus had been sitting watching Ice walk through crowd apperently looking for someone, he was slightly suprised that he had come searching for him but did not let a trace of that suprise show in his face. He simply listened to Ice's challenge his face not showing the slightest hint of any emotion, Ice wanted to challenge him.... in an archery contest, the mere thought was ludicris even if he was the best archer within the ice warrior ranks he had never lost when it came to archery, he always hit his shot. That was no boast simply fact, Marcus sighed deeply before speaking for the first time "Is this challenge you have just set up simply to prove who the better archer is.... or are stakes?" he asked calmly.

Ice smiled, not unkindly, but there was also scant trace of any kind emotion within them. He nodded at Windkeeper, before turning back to the crowd, looking for any other Northerner that would join the tournament round.
"Is there any other Fallen Angel or Ice Warrior that wishes test his or her skill in long range combat? If so, let them speak now."

Kevin sat quietly in the crowed watching the two archers declare battle upon one another. He had never seen this Ice fellow of the Ice Warriors, but Marcus was a bit more familiar, being an angle like himself. Ice opened the floor to any other archer who felt their skills could match the two below.
Of course Kevin couldn't ignore such a challenge. He gripped his bow noves spes with his left hand and stood up above the crowed.
"I am Kevin Sage of the Fallen, and I take you up on your challenge. I shall join you and Marcus Windkeeper in this archery battle." His voice seemed tranquil, yet it was loud enough to be heard above the crowed and, more importantly, by Ice and Marcus.
He did not wait for a reply, and made his way down the stadium's numerous steps to join Ice and Marcus in the arena. "What say you?"

Ice smiled, but to people outside it might have seemed difficult to understand what type of smile it was. Respect? The prospect of a challenge? It didn't really matter either way. Ice was eager to begin the tournament.
"Very well." Ice said, inclining his head towards the Fallen Angel, Kevin Sage. He couldn't say that the angel was familiar, but that didn't matter either.
"We will begin standing at three different corners of the arena." Ice said, remembering another archery tournament he had had long ago. He swore this one would have a better outcome.
