((OOC: oh! Now it is getting exciting.Do you want to do six posts earch or three posts each or should we just play it by ear???))
Maccenna Gasped as the sword was wrenched from her hands and the arrow kicked behind her. All the way on the other side of the arena she could see her bow and right beside it her quiver of arrows. Why had she disregarded them? Now she would have to turn. She had to think hard and fast. She did not want to end up with Cailen to her back.
Maccenna pulled the blue sash that held her braid together from her hair and swung it forward towards Cailne's ankle that seemed to be supporting the most weight. With her golden hair flying in her face, she swung it around. Wether it would catch around Cailen's anckle was a matter all on its own. She got prepared to pull back if it did to send Cailen falling so that she could have enough time to recieve the arrow.

Cailen raised an eyebrow. The girl had flung a piece of cloth at her. (err...I dont think a piece of cloth used to tie up hair can be flung down to trip someone without any weight...sorry) "Getting a little desperate are we?" She said, her breath coming sharp. She lunged foreward with her sword, aiming for her midsection. If Maccenna turned, the blow would falle to her back. If she didn't it would fall to her leather jerkin, and cut across that. Her attack was fast, Maccenna would have little chance to dodge it. But just in case, she held her tiger claw out to her left, so Maccenna would be forsed to dodge to the right or fell the reke of her claws...
OOC: Yeah..pretty intese. I think that we'll both know when it should end. We'll just see how it plays out.

Maccenna refused to turn around towards the arrow. She ducked and rolled under Cailen's legs instead. She felt the tip of the blade nip her shoulder as she went under but that was it. After so many rolls, Maccenna began to feel a little dissy. She lifted her self and stumbled a bit. No doubt the bruises and the cuts were also taking an affect on her. Biting her lip with determination, she regained her balance and darshed for the Arrow shaft. She fell on the ground just as she reached it rolled and began to rise. She looked down at the arrow shaft that now was clenched in her hand. What was she going to do with this?

Cailen lifted her sword, taking advantage of Maccenna's confusion. She brought her sword down, aiming to slice the top off. Where her claws failed, her sword would succeed. If the blade hit, the arrow would be history, and the pirate girl would be weaponless...well, accept for her pice of cloth...
OOC: Sorry for the short post... I dont know what else to do but cut the arrow...

Maccenna puuled the arrow away from Cailen's sword and ducked under it so that she was face to face with cailen. She used the arrow and aimed it for the hand holding the sword. If she could peirce that hand, Cailen would be forced to drop the sword. If not, it would be easy for her opponent to wrench the only wepon she had left and render her defenceless.
((OOC: Akk! Short!))

Cailen yelped as the arrow pierced her hand, but she held firm, despite the pain. The arrow was blunted a little because of the roughness of their battle, so it did not go in too seep. But the blood was running freelt, and it hurt like crazy. Her hand was weaker, byt she held firm, bringing the blade to the back of Maccenna's neck. She brought her other fist to the pirate's throat, the points of her claws at the jugular vein. She did, not push, however. She did not want this girl dead. Yet.
OOC: Im not sure if that was powerplaying. If it is, just tell me and I'll edit it.

((OOC: Well.. You did not really do anything to render the circumstances. I believe this can also help wrap up the battle))
Maccnna's arms dropped to her sides and she gulped. She glared at Cailen but did not speak. Knowing she could not move withoutu hurting herslef and opening up possiblilities of thus Killing herself, she just continued to stare Cailen in the eyes. She knew this battle was lost, but there would be other times to fight Cailen again. She waited for the Arch angel to speack and realease her....

Cailen dropped her weapons away from Maccenna. She sheathed her sword and pulled the arrow from her hand. Blood was running freely, and so she tore material from her shirt and made a makeshift bandage. "Maccenna, I asked for a good chalange, and you gave one." She nodded her head ever so slightly. "You were a worthy opponent." She never broke Maccenna's gaze, she would not give her that satisfaction, no matter how well the girl had fought. She pulled off her claw, and retrieved the other one, and placed them both on the belt at her hip. OOC: Sorry, its short...

Maccacenna took a particularly careful note as to where Cailen place her "Claws" She then bent and picked up her own sword, not even dirtied and sheathed it.She took her broken arrow and turned it in her hands without looking at it.
"I would not have fought you if I did not think I would be a challange." She gave the Arch Angel a polite dip of the head, went to the edge of the areana and gathered her bow and jacket along with her quiver of arrows and left. She distasted Cailen, but at least she showed her that she was formitable opponent. Perhaps next time she should be more careful on who she wants to tech a lesson to.....
((OOC: That is Okay. Mine is short Too.))

Cailen watched Maccenna leave the arena. She looked around her at the dust that the boots of the pirate had stirred up, and noted the bitterness when she left. They would meet again, and no matter what the pirate thought, Cailen would make sure the girl would not beat her.
