Samara is more graceful and elegant than Archer and Samara can be more vicious (in what we have seen so far). Granted Archer hasn't had a chance to prove himself yet.

It was just a black and white sketch of a fairly blank looking scythe. Nothing spectacular, it was just there to show people what a scythe was (for those who didn't know).

You know... scythes, when you consider it, wouldn't have been overly effective against the other weapons of their era, like swords, or axes or spears
