Appearance:
Nina's most predominant features are her misty blue eyes. They hold her darkest secrets and reveal her inner feelings. Despite how much she attempts to hide, her eyes will giver her away.
She has a thick mass of dark brown hair that never seems to be tame. No matter how often she slicks it back or combs it, it will eventually resume its messy look.
Her skin is a light brown color, rather than the more feminine peachy tone that a lady should have. The coloring is mostly due to spending her days outside and roaming the land of Lilan.
Nina's physique is rather thin. She’s around 5’5 in heights, average. She doesn't have the frail look of a lady, but rather a rugged and strong appearance like that of a true woman (at least that's what she believes ^^).

Personality:
Nina's neither elegant nor graceful.. She's stubborn, sarcastic, rude, and hard-headed. She has a strong mind and heart, and fights for what she believes is right, even if the rest of the world is against her. She has a quick tongue that gets her into trouble. Basically, she fights firsts and asks questions later.
...at least that's the front she puts up; but within the very pit of her soul, Nina is in fact a loner. Shunned by her own family and friends, Nina finds it hard to trust anyone. To her, women are weak, reckless, and motivated by emotion; men are arrogant and brash, thinking with only one part of their brain.
Strengths:
Nina's will is her ultimate strength. She will never give up, never back down, and never let go. She's a skilled swordsman, due to the intense training she went through in the Alante Jungle.
Weaknesses:
Nina acts on whim, which hinders her in a real battle. Instead of strategizing and planning things out, she will act purely by instinct, lashing out and wasting energy.
Other:
Nina Foster is a wanted woman. Her face is known throughout the southern lands; further north, she is less recognized.

History (Role Play Sample):
In the Isle of Emeralds, the sun had just begun to set in the west, casting an orange glow over the vast ocean water. The sky glimmered with shades of pink, a further to the east, a soft blue hue began to form. Upon a high overhanging cliff, the obvious silhouette of a woman stood tall and proud; rigid, as if stubborn against the natural curve of her back.
A breeze billowed over the Sea of Opals, sending forth soft waves to caress rocks along the bottom of the precipice. The sound of the crashing tides seemed like music to the woman’s ears, for she smiled a sly, yet, tranquil smile. The wind teased the short, thick tresses of the woman’s dark hair, and she ran a tanned, slender hand through the mass in an attempt to tame it. The effort was in vain, however, for her hair seemed to stay in the same place anyway.
To any eye, the woman would seem like a happy, peaceful woman of her time. Only one who had looked deep into her blue eyes would know better, for in the eyes of this woman lie hatred, disgust, deceit, sorrow, betrayal, and pain. Her eyes told her story, but for one who cannot read it, elaboration may be necessary…
This woman is Nina Elizabeth Foster: Worth $1,000,000 if captured, and even more if brought back alive. She is a woman whose face is known throughout the city of Sanara, all over land of Danarta, and slowly, but surly, in many far regions of Lilan.
She is either feared or respected by all who have met her, loathed by all who once knew her, and the murderer of Vance Immanuel Colvin…

… According to the rumors, anyway.
Perhaps it would be wise to start at the beginning?
__________
Nina Elizabeth Foster was born to Cameron and Julie Foster in the very southern tip of Danarta in the city Sanara. Around the age of nine or ten, Nina befriended a young boy known simply as Vance to her. Soon would she come to realize in her young youth, that he was of the high-class, and well-respected clan of Colvins in Sanara. Of course, at the ages of twelve and thirteen, what did social standing mean to either of them?
They were bound for life, and nothing would sever them, “save death,” they would say. They were reckless and always bound to get themselves into some sort of mess, for trouble always seemed to find them. Childhood friendship soon blossomed into eternal love for one another. When Nina was eighteen, Vance Colvin became her fiancé.
Nina was living the life that a true southern woman was supposed to. Soon she would marry, start a family, and live her own legacy. But such things were not meant to be.
It was around this time that the war began to swallow the land. Whispers and rumors had circulated through the world for years now, but the war seemed to be growing and gaining strength. Nina and Vance both were strong protesters against the war. The battles were pointless, and nothing would ever truly be gained. This was their belief, and they stuck by this philosophy for two years. They never married, even after such a long engagement. The world was in such turmoil that Nina and Vance agreed to put-off the marriage until the world had once again settled.
Instead of becoming a wife and mother, Nina became a fighter for peace. For protection sake, Vance taught Nina how to wield a sword and protect herself. If the battles were to ever reach their home, Nina would not just be any helpless woman. Although she was never nearly as good as her beloved fiancé, Nina could handle the blade enough to be a threat.
The dreams of Nina and Vance would never be realized. The evening was so dark on that night; Nina remembered not being able to see the moon through the thick mass of clouds. She walked down the cobblestone road with her hands full of supplies and food to last her and Vance through the next winter. Vance had stayed behind at their house, re-roofing the hut to be sure that the winter winds would not seep through.
Nina managed to open the door into her home, despite the cumbersome packaging she held. She called for Vance to help her. Her voice echoed through the walls as if the place was vacant and hollow. Why was it so dark?
“Vance?” She called again, this time with an eerie feeling creeping into her stomach. “Vance?” She made her way to the kitchen, praying that she would not drop the bag that held glass.
The sound of shattered glass echoed down the hall nonetheless, but the glass had suddenly become the least of her worries. Upon her once-clean kitchen floor lay her childhood friend and husband-to-be, drenched in his own blood. A knife was still wedged within his abdomen saturated in rich, crimson blood.
Nina crouched down beside him to wrench the murderous weapon from his gut. Blood covered her cloths and her hands. She screamed in horror at the sight of her fallen love. The blood-curdling scream could be heard throughout the small corner of the city of Sanara.
No one could believe that this woman could be innocent of the murder of Vance Immanuel Colvin. This blood-soaked woman still wielded the weapon and was hunched over the body when the first of many “witnesses” arrived. Nina was found guilty on the spot. She was shunned by the remaining Colvins as well as by her own family. No one would believe her.
She fled, taking one possession with her: Vance’s sword, Valdis.
She escaped to the Alante Jungle. There, she met an old monk named Shonari; the only man that ever believe her side of the story. He was old, and had lived through many generations of battles and wars. Turns out, Shonari was a skilled swordsman who continued to teach Nina how to wield Valdis even better. Fighting styles and combat skills were not what a lady should be learning, yet, here she was. For the next five years, Nina mastered the art of swordsmanship. She also came to love shorter blades such as knives and switchblades. Nina became a fighter, but no longer for peace. “A fighter for what then?” one may ask…
__________
The sun had set completely now. The sky was a dark, navy-blue color flecked with white, shinning stars that glimmered with innocence. She left the jungle after the inevitable death of her dear friend Shonari. She travels throughout the land of Lilan searching for her ultimate destiny. She lives to kill the man that stole the life of her love, and, thereby, her life as well.
She gripped the hilt of her sword. Every time she touched it, memories of Vance washed over her mind. Tears threatened to spill down her cheeks, but Nina held them back. She would not cry, not anymore.
“I swear by all that is within my soul that I will kill the one who stole you from me. I will avenge your death with every last breath that dwells within my body. I swear by all that is good and evil that your death will have meant something by the time this pointless war had ended…”
Little does Nina know that her part in this tale is just beginning…
...a storm is coming...
