The peaks we're high, the valleys we're easily swallowed into the night as the last of the sun creeped away. One lone girl sat sitting in the white snow, her eyes faced foreward with a hint of coldness there. She was a royal guard of Svena,so why wasn't she there it's because she decided to do some training.
Standing she brushed off some snow that had fallen on her kimono, she cared not that snow continued to fall or that night had fallen she was not about to leave the valley she had decided to camp in for the night.
A slight wind howled through the valley, the snow now getting abit heavier. She breathed as her breath showed in front of her, there was no one else around no just her.If only someone would come and give her a good spar then she could train better.
"I will probably be missed,a royal guard should not wander astray".
Her red eyes blinked as she turned, something was there in the darkness.Fan at the ready,Ruby waited to see who it was before attacking anything.

The Mountains of Frost seemed exceptionally nice that evening, a very small snowfall hovered over the peaks, and the wind howled in a musical tone. Rhaxma had nothing planned for that day but to wander through the Mountains at complete ease, as she restricted herself from harming any living creature she may have stumbled upon. She had her double maced with her, for no special reason except that she wanted to get more used to its weight. Today's little hike up the mountains was not just for a calming stroll, but also to build her muscles that she needed to wield her heavy weapon around. It was unfortunate that there was no blizzard, for she would have had much more intense training.
Rhaxma's breath finally evened out when she stopped walking for a brief moment, to catch some much needed air. She wasn't wearing her typical clothing, but rather a white, long sleeved blouse and tight, baby blue capris. On her feet, she had a pair of heavy-set white, snow boots, which she suddenly appreciated much more. Her long, white robe however, covered her body. Her double-balled mace was tied in to a sling, wrapped around her shoulders like a backpack. As she waited in the clearing, she saw something unusual flash before her, some type of movement. Rhaxma carefully stood up and stared curiously in that direction, having no fear, of course. This was the Ice Kingdom, her land.
She walked to the flash of movement, which became difficult to see as the darkness grew. However, Rhaxma kept her eyes in the same spot and trusted her instincts, moving trough the thick snow with little difficulty. She stood behind a tree, such a beautiful rarity, and gazed at the girl before her. She couldn't have been much older than her, and when Rhaxma looked more closely, she recognized the young Ice Warrior. Smirking slightly, she took a step forward, hopefully in the girl's view, and said softly, "Ruby, pleasure to see you here at this time of night. You gave me quite a startle over there." She noticed that she was holding a fan, barely visible beneath the moonlight. She raised a curious eyebrow and said, again in a very soft voice, "I suppose that movement I saw was your fan. That's impressive," she complimented.
Again, her eyebrow raised. "What are you doing here, anyway?" Rhaxma's eyes traveled around them, in a circular motion. "We are a bit in the middle of nowhere. Such a curious place to be... alone." Rhaxma had grown quite a bit since her departure from the Ice Kingdom, with her mother, and her social skills have improved greatly. Although she still can be shy and nervous, concealing all of her feelings inside and not expressing much emotion, she has gotten used to speaking with those she trusts, and likes, much more warmly. For example, the Ice Warriors, she has adapted to quite nicely. She was pleased with herself and a small smile formed across her face. But, within an instant, the smile faded, only because the comfort was unusual and foreign. I still need to work on that...

Seeing it was a fellow Ice Warrior she lowered her fan immediately, this was her home but still she always needed to be on her guard.Even with the snow coming down lightly, and the moon hanging above only lighting certain areas on the mountain it would make it quite difficult to see whom was a fellow warrior and who was a enemy.A enemy would have a harder time hiking the mountains though, because of the terrian.
"Forgive me Rhaxma, and thank you for your kind words".
Ruby looked down at the fan in her hand, this weapon would give anyone a startle.Had it been her bow and arrows though, she could have killed whatever would be lurking in this snow. When Rhaxma asked why she was here,Ruby simply turned her back to her fellow Ice Warrior and stared at the cold snow beneath her feet.
"I came here to better my training,I know I am a royal guard but i've been away for quite awhile".
Away doing various things, after all she was also a spy for the kingdom. It was her duty to go out and spy on those who weren't allies, then she would report back and tell what she had gathered as it was her job to do so.
"Have you any news, since I am just recently returning".

Rhaxma smiled warmly at her comrade, feeling much more comfortable after knowing that she wasn't about to attack her. She had spoken to Ruby a few times before, but mostly on a professional level. She couldn't say she was friends with Ruby, but she would more than willing to allow something to grow. After all, the two were very close to each other in age, and both were Ice Warriors... what more can there be to relate to? Rhaxma wasn't a very complicated person lately. She thought for a moment, for a response to her question.
"Well, if I recall, the Ice Warriors and the Fallen Angels have made a treaty... Ice and Cailen, I mean. I've heard a rumor that Ice is seeing someone, although I don't know her name... and I'm not really quite sure otherwise." She carefully looked away. "I've actually only just recently returned here." She eyed her. "What have you been doing all this time?"
Rhaxma was a very curious person, and she tended to ask more questions than were necessary, but she couldn't help it much: although sometimes, she knows who to be careful with. She was still having trouble being more sociable within her kingdom, but she was progressing rather well. She smiled in satisfaction and again looked at Ruby. She always envied her: she was beautiful. [/color]
