Meh, I though that there could have been two options...
1) It retreated back into the saftey of its lair after discovering that its prey had eluded them, or
2) It caught a scent on the air from the Diamond City, or another populated area, and started towards there in search of more food. You've gotta consider that its been trapped in rock for god knows how long, I'd be hungry too...

Well... we can let it last a little longer while we're searching for it... but sooner or later somebody is going to have to see it... and then we can fight it...
Also, The Lilan warriors can join in the fight if they want, Alexander, you can follow into the mines if you want...
