Dagwyn warded off Alaria's blow and stepped backwards. Damn this woman is fast. It seems I'll have to move at full speed in order to stop her. He got ready to move when he suddenly noticed Lyneya, who was lying on the ground with Nina trying to make sure she was wounded. IfI don't get that stone then all this will be for nothing. The thought of what would happen if one of the army generals got their greedy hands on the stone made the hairs on his back stand out. Without further ado he darted after the Northener. You're not going anywhere.
She was moving fast, obviously used to running great distances. Maybe the pirates can be of help? "Hey, that woman has the stone! If that's what you're here for, then I suggest you hurry!" Dagwyn yelled as he ran past them, dodging half rotten tree truncks and other obstacles. Alaria had reached the docks, but Dagwyn was closing in himself. He dived forward, avoiding a rock that was screaming for him to trip over it. As his back hit the ground he rolled and ended up in a standing position with his sword ready.
"Hand the stone over." Dagwyn said in a serious tone, though it was clear that the time for talk was over. He thrusted Wargfang forward in a feint stab, then he sidestepped and executed a spinning strike to the head.

Alaria heard Dagwyn scream that she had the stone. Luckily for her, the fog had rolled completly into the bay. But he stumbled and rolled, landing on his feet to demand the stone back and then give a blow to her body.
His sword stopped inches before hitting her, and then went for her head. She leaned back and twisted, the tip of his blade crossing her face and cutting her. It made a thin line on her face, from her eye to her collarbone. Screaming in agony, she held one hand to her face and another put the stone safely in her armor. None would be able to reach it unless she was incapacitated. Blood slowly leaked from her wound, causing her hands to stain red.
Fool! she yelled, and hurled a dagger at him swiftly, grabbing it from her boot. It whislted as it went, and she shoved the boat into the water. Leaping into it, she waited for Kevin, meanwhile taking Shakr'am from her waist again. Throwing it directly at him, she took her bow and released arrows upon the man. Dozens of them took off, tips wanting to bit into his skin.

Geddo grinned as fog covered the fighting area. "You are a fool." He said as he went to grab Kevin's spear and snap it with his strength. "But I have more inportent matters!" He said as he ran off towards Alaria. Oi, must a pirate do everything? No, they are doing their best.
Geddo saw a glint of arrow head's through the light. Two had just passed him and geddo and struck down the others, one imbedded itself in his armor, though it didn't come close to touching his skin. "Hand over the stone little girl, I don't feel like dealing with another weakling. Give me the stone, and you can leave with your life. If not I will have to kill you. Its either the stone or your life!" HE said as he pulled out the green vile and let the liquid run down his blade. He doubted that she could see the blade, but none the less, better be safe then sorry.

Alaria couldn't wait anymore. She rowed the boat deep into the water, towards Ice's boat. Kevin would have to catch up. She had loads of Pirates and other people trying to kill her. She picked up her bow again and launched more arrows into the fog since she was now a safe distance from the shore. Taking a pouch from her belt, she dipped the arrows in gun powder and struck a match. Lighting the arrow tips on fire, she shot them out.
No, she hadn't seen the glint of a sword, but she heard it come out. And she heard the slosh of liquid in a vile. Her acute hearing caught all of this. Alaria stopped firing and paddle farther out. A dove flew fast at her, a note tied to its leg. Taking the piece of paper off, she rolled it open and quickly scrawled something on it. A message for Ice. Tieing it back, she threw the bird into the air.

Alaria ran past the battle between Geddo and Sage. Another man ran past as well. Sage figured it was one of the drifters.
Alaria must have the stone in her possession...what happened to the other drifters?
A fog soon formed over the shore, and a storm of arrows shot past him, barely missing him as well as Geddo. Geddo had taken that opportunity to swipe Sage's spear from his hands and snapping it with brute strength. Geddo soon ran off after Alaria and the other drifter.
Alaria should know not to wait on me... Sage thought to himself. Hoping she would soon make it back to Ice’s ship.

Lyneya forced herself onto her feet, and every movement sent knives of pain running from her arm. Whatever had happened, it would take so long to repair. The Ice Warrior was gone, and so was Dagwyn. Good. She had to be caught, they could not risk Ice controlling the stone. But Nina was still with her, she was kneeling somewhere nearby. So close and yet so far away. Why did Lyneya always manage to hurt herself when she needed most.
"No!" She said to Nina, wobbling on her feet as the pain ran through her body and clouded her vision. "Go now. Save us. Save us all."
She was moving now, slowly at first, but gaining speed, more and more and more. The pain in her arm sent torrents of tears down her face, and scarlet tears across her arm where bone had broken skin, but she pushed on. Her face was contorted as pain became her entire world, but the work was not over. The stone was lost, she had lost it. Everything she had ever lived for, everything she believed, all she stood for had just slipped out of her fingers.

Nina watched from her knelt position as Lyneya tried to stand. At first, Nina held out a hand, but realized that Lyneya wanted to get up on her own. Nina pulled her hand back toward her chest.
She didn't respond when Lyneya told her to go on, but stood as Lyneya started forward on shaky knees. Soon they were at a slow-paced run. Lyneya was in pain, the tears streaming down her face was proof enough. Nina opened her mouth to speak, but thought better of it.
The northerner ran twice as fast as me running at a normal sprint. Unless Dagwyn caught her, we're too late...
A fog rolled over the shore as Nina and Lyneya grew closer. Nina spotted the Angel, but there was no sign of Geddo, the Ice Warrior, or Dagwyn.
They must be closer to the waterline... Not that they were far from it, but the fog made it hard to see exactly where they were. In Nina's heart, she feared the worst.

Geddo let out a cry of rage! He would not let this women escape with the stone. This was more then getting the stone, it was now amatter of pride. He had been given a job by someone of equal rank. He would not fail. He swiftly dodged the arrows and pulled out his own bow and arrows. After getting into his boat, he followed the direction the arrows where going and managed to get out of the fog. HE spotted Alaria and sent arrow after arrow at her and her boat.
"YOU WONT GET AWAY!!" He cried angerly as he sent a flaming arrow at her boat. One flaming arrow was all it took to burn her and the stone to the ocean floor.

Alaria saw the flaming arrow comeine towards her. Grinning, she silently slipped off the boat and into the water, the stone in her armor. She swam as fast as possible, and held one hand to her chest to keep the stone safe.
She surfaced the water and took a deep breathe. She was at the ladder of Ice's ship. Grinning, she climbed it and stood atop the deck, sopping wet. Everyone around her cheered and she removed the stone from her armor.

Sage followed after the two women as they made their way slowly toward the shoreline.
A smile played about the corner of his lips as he watched them: They are much too late. No doubt Alaria has reached Ice by now... They will do no more fighting today, for they have nothing left to fight for...
Sage spotted a light out in the water. Through the fog, it looked like a dim orange glow that had been shot from an unknown source. The pirate...
He grabbed his bow once again. A searing pain shot up his left arm as he reached behind him. The green liquid had burned his skin - though nothing life-threatening. He stopped running as he neared the water's edge. Once more, Sage tried to ignore the pain in his arm as he aimed his arrow toward a point in the water that was the source of burning arrow. Geddo was in a boat, and he would not be maneuvering very well. Sage was almost sure to hit him, even with the hindrance of the fog, which was in fact beginning to thin as the winds of the ocean picked up.
No need to give Ice and Alaria more trouble than they already have out in the sea. Sir Geddo, you should never turn your back upon your opponent...

Lyneya screamed. The others were gone, the Ice Warrior had escaped. It was all lost. She knelt on the ground. It had been her purpose. Her single purpose to rid the world of the stone. She had failed. She had failed Nina and Dagwyn. She had failed the world.
Bitter tears fell in cascades down her normally elegantly beautiful face and fell onto the ground. How did it happen? How did she lose it? It all seemed such a blur now, like the very memories of the most important feat of her life were fading away with the diminishing fog.
The pain in her arm suddenly caught up to her, and she crunched her face up as pain ripped through her entire body, making her shudder violently. She closed her eyes. Willing above nothing else to be detached, away from this world and the worries. The wars and the violence. The love and the hate. The pride and the racism. She wanted the pain to stop, the black of her eyelids to engulf her. What was left?
But something inside her would not keep her eyes shut. Perhaps it was the pain, or something deep within her, something engraved deep within her soul. So she sat up, eyes wide open, but seeing nothing. What could she do now?

Lyneya's ear shattering scream took Nina back to the night she wrenched the knife from her beloved. Nina's scream seemed to echo through the night just as Lyneya's did so now. It was a scream of frustration and loss - of failure.
A lump formed in her throat as the memory washed over her. Closing her eyes, Nina shook her head and stood next to Lyneya as she knelt upon the ground. "Lyneya, stop crying. It doesn't fix anything," she said gravely.
She suddenly looked down at Lyneya with concern in her eyes as the pain caught up to her. She's not just fighting physical pain...
When Lyneya sat up, Nina knelt beside her. She opened her moth to speak, but the words were stolen from her lips. Her eyes wandered to the Angel, and fear struck her heart. His arrow flew through the air toward Geddo who was now visible through the fog...

"YOur a nuisance!" He said as he shot his own arrows and split kevins in half. He was a good aim, but he didn't expect that. He sent a few more arrows at Kevin. He had his sword unsheathed and ready to strike if kevin got close. Then he heard the screams. Where the ice warriors still on the shore? What was going on?

Sage hardly paid notice to the pirate as he easily split his arrows. Sage looked down upon the bow still held out before him. Novus Spes was glowing a vibrant violet color. He raised his eyebrows at the phenomenon and looked out into the sea toward the White Warrior. A sly smile crept across his face.
Ice has finally harnessed the power of the stone. These people will be no threat to him anymore - no more than mere flies...
The time had come for Sage to return to Calien and Ice. He leapt toward the water; and with un-humanlike grace and speed, his legs carried him swiftly across the water. By the time the water had begun to catch up with his momentum, Sage had reached the edge of the White Warrior.
